Polemarch’s Message

Greetings, welcome and thank you for visiting with the Brothers of the Bronx (NY) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc. 

My name is Glenn E. Moises, and it is my pleasure and privilege to be in my 3rd year as the 7th Polemarch of the chapter affectionately known as “LoS Nupes”.

Charted on February 20, 2009, the Bronx (NY) Alumni Chapter has achieved numerous accolades over the past 16 years.  The Bronx (NY) Alumni Chapter was awarded the Northeastern Province Chapter of the Year Award 2016, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2023 & 2023.  For such a relatively young chapter, these awards confirm the hard work and dedication of our Chapter brothers.  Additionally, we were awarded the Northeastern Province’s Reclamation Award in 2021 & 2023 (two awards: total number & percentile).  This award affirms the Chapter’s commitment to re-engaging and welcoming brothers “back home to Kappa”. 

The Bronx  (NY) Alumni Chapter’s commitment to service in the community includes kick-starting the fraternity’s Room to Read National Initiative Program, providing a verbal history of the chapter to the Bronx Historical Society, and, after restoring our Kappa League, we hosted the largest Kappa League Leadership Conference within the Northeastern Province on the campus of SUNY Maritime College.  According to the Commandant, the conference had the largest number of attendees (600), who did not reflect the demographic makeup of their students.    

One of the greatest accomplishments during my second term was reestablishing the undergraduate chapter at Binghamton University, the Mu Kappa (NY) Chapter, after several years of inactivity.

As evidenced by the above, “Be BXActive” is not just a catchphrase. 

As we begin the Fraternal Year 2025-2026, the Brothers of the Bronx (NY) Alumni Chapter will continue to provide service to the Bronx community, engage brothers to “come back home to Kappa”, and rededicate ourselves to the 5 Objectives bestowed upon us by our Noble Founders.
